Simply Be Skincare is a project I am proud to share with you all. Here’s a little about myself and how I came to be here today.
I have been passionate about skincare for many years, so creating my own cosmetics range has been a fantastic journey. Let me tell you where it all began...
Back in 2012 I was made redundant from my job as a sales rep; I had worked for my husband's business for 17 years, however we decided my role was no longer needed so I should find a new career. To this day we are still happily married and I am grateful for his encouragement and giving me a reason to follow something I have always had a passion for - natural skincare and how to grow old gracefully.
I initially started by self-funding two private training courses, one in microdermabrasion and another in A-lift facials. Researching courses that I felt would be beneficial to my clients was really important to me; I naturally wanted to ensure that all of my clients felt happy within their own skin and wanted to champion non-invasive, non-surgical treatments.
Wanting to expand my skills I then trained in another specialist treatment LED Lumineo Light Therapy, alongside other smaller treatments such as waxing, brow tint & tidy and facials, during my training, I worked within my daughters salon Beaus & Belles in Maidstone to gain experience, thoroughly enjoying meeting new and regular clients, whilst helping them feel fantastic.
Having a great work/life balance is really important to me, so I made the decision to set up my own salon based at home few years later. I am delighted to be able to welcome clients in for treatments and Microdermabrasion, A lift Facials & LED Lumineo Light Therapy are still the most popular skincare treatments I offer as part of Simply Be Skincare, my very own salon.
So where did Simply Be Skincare come in?
Having used many different cosmetics brands and products, both on myself and clients for all these years, I was becoming increasingly frustrated by the mismatch on the market. Clients would often ask me for recommendations of products they could use at home to compliment their regular skincare treatments. My shelves were an assortment of Tropic, The Body Shop & Neals Yard, each one offering something the others lacked, but no sooner did I find the perfect product, it became out of stock or worse, discontinued.
It took a global pandemic for me to have a revelation
What if there was just one go to brand that sold everything I needed?
An Affordable, Natural, Ethical range that would encompass all the elements I need in one
What if I created my own branded skincare products?
So that’s where we are today, a capsule range of natural skincare products, specially designed by myself, a passionate skincare specialist with the desire to help keep everyone looking younger for longer.
After extensive research and development, Simply Be Skincare was born.
